Natural Pond

A property with a high water table and predominantly clay soils gave us the opportunity to create a pond without the use of a rubber liner. With a fairly consistent flow of water from the ground as well as surface water, the pond is replenished. Large stones were placed in a random pattern increasing the edge habitat of the pond with promotes species diversity and interaction between them. Aquatic plants will be installed and many of the installed plants are adapted to live in wet or anaerobic conditions.
